Our experience in central Italy goes back to the late 70s, when Tuscany was still in great part unexplored territory and a well kept secret.
Nowadays it is increasingly difficult to find forgotten treasures, but it is still possible to find charming properties needing redevelopment, while the choice of superbly refurbished farmhouses, monasteries, castles and villas is exceedingly good, albeit not too cheap anymore.
Beside Tuscany other less well known areas offer great opportunities and are worth exploring.
Italy has changed considerably in recent years, services and infrastructures have improved, cost have risen but the quality of life is still one of the best in Europe.

Romania
We are currently researching the Romanian market, with particular attention to the Transylvanian and Carpathian mountains, keeping to the areas that are close to the airports where the budget airlines will start flying to.
The area is of stunning beauty and one of the most untouched parts of Europe, an ideal holiday destination for nature lovers and those who want to have a taste of what Europe was once like.
Romania will join the EU in 2007 and is currently the least exploited and the cheapest of Eastern European countries, while offering a more varied and exciting landscape.
Recent reports published by Deloitte and Price Waterhouse Coopers highlight the great potential for investment; the research by these companies is well known for being comprehensive, reliable and thorough.
At the same time we consider some much talked about TV programs that have been aired in the UK recently rather far-fetched in their estimates.
This is the time for possibly the best investment opportunity in Europe. Prices are rapidly increasing and Summer 2006 is the last chance to catch the best bargains.

We have decided to ignore the coastal areas and the ski resorts, we believe these will quickly saturate and be spoiled by wild over-development.
We are instead concentrating our attention to the less exploited areas of highest interest from the point of view of natural beauty, potential for ecologically responsible tourism, sports activities and cultural interest.
We also strive to interact with local communities and involve them directly in the process of change.
In April 2006 we will go to Romania again to visit and document a number of properties that are currently available and have been offered to us, we will also consolidate the contracts with the local representatives and verify the fine points of legal and bureaucratic elements of the process.
During our trip we will be able to do research on commission and can scout for properties on your behalf.
